Multiple GMC Sierra 3500 HD Trim Options
GMC has built its name on manufacturing some of the toughest, most durable heavy-duty trucks on the market, and our team can help you find excellent financing terms if you’re considering a new vehicle. A considerable benefit to truck buyers is the multiple trim options available, with the ability to include optional upgrades where you see fit. Choices range from the no-frills workhorse with a comfortable cabin to a luxury ride offering more comfort on longer drives. Each trim comes standard with a 6.6L V8 gas engine with an option to upgrade to a 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V8. Standard transmission is the 6-speed heavy-duty electronically controlled automatic transmission. Transmission upgrade includes the Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission (available on all models) or the Allison 10-speed with integrated Power Take-Off (Pro, SLE, and SLT models only). The full line of trims includes:
- Pro
- SLE
- SLT
- AT4
- Single Rear Wheel Denali
GMC Sierra 3500 HD Pro Exterior Features
The Pro comes with 18″ all-terrain tires on steel-painted silver wheels or an available upgrade to machined aluminum wheels with dark gray metallic accents. Operators will find the black outside vertical trailering mirrors handy, as well as the cab-mounted cargo area lamps for extra visibility. The front and rear are accented with chrome bumpers and a chrome-surround black mesh grille.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD Pro Interior Features
Inside the Pro, drivers will enjoy conveniences such as the 12-volt power outlet, power windows and locks, 4-way driver and passenger seat adjustments, 40/20/40 split-bench front seat with covered armrest storage, and a 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat. Vinyl seat trim and rubberized vinyl floor coverings make cleaning up a snap. The GMC infotainment system and 3.5” diagonal monochromatic driver information center are nice modern touches.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD SLE Exterior Features
The SLE starts with the upgraded 18″ machined aluminum wheels with dark gray metallic accents. Other exterior highlights not included on the Pro include deep-tinted glass and the GMC MultiPro tailgate, a tailgate with EZ Lift assist, power lock, and release. The SLT also has black outside power-adjustable vertical trailering mirrors and body-colored door handles.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD SLE Interior Features
Drivers of the SLE will find a few more modern conveniences such as a compass, cruise control, steering wheel mounted controls, and GMC Connected access capability. The floors feature carpet, but both the front and rear are outfitted with rubberized floor mats. Another upgrade is the larger 4.2” diagonal color driver information center.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD SLT Exterior Features
Many of the wheel and engine features of the SLE and SLT are the same. However, the SLT comes with more luxury highlights than its standard counterpart. Lighting is crucial, and the SLT includes cargo bed LED lighting, LED fog lamps, and LED high-intensity headlamps with LED turn signals and signature LED daytime running lamps. The exterior of the SLT comes with more chrome highlights and outside power-adjustable vertical trailering mirrors with power folding/extending auto-dimming driver and passenger upper glass. It also includes the ProGrade trailering system, which isn’t available on the Pro or SLE trims.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD SLT Interior Features
When stepping up to the SLT, drivers will benefit from an upgrade to power seating, with a 10-way driver seat position and power lumbar control. Powering equipment is also more accessible with the 120-volt box-mounted power outlet in the bed and an additional outlet installed in the instrument panel in the cabin. The front seat offers underneath storage, and the infotainment display is upgraded to an 8” diagonal screen.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD AT4 Exterior Features
The AT4 trim is focused on off-road adventure. It comes with a spray-in bedliner for extra durability, and while most bumper and door handles are body-colored as opposed to the chrome found on the SLE, the real difference is in the AT4’s X31 Off-Road package. Highlights include an off-road suspension, hill descent control, skid plates, and twin-tube Rancho shocks.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD AT4 Interior Features
How does the off-road version compare to the others on the inside? Drivers will enjoy many of the features of the SLT but a more comfortable ride in the front bucket seats that also leave room for a front center console. The premium front floor liners with removable carpet inserts help you plan for messier adventures and are included in the rear too. The seat trim is perforated leather with ventilated front driver and passenger seats.
GMC Sierra 3500 HD Denali Exterior Features
The Denali stands out with its chrome door handles and bumpers, 20” multi-dimensional polished aluminum wheels, a polished exhaust tip, and Intellibeam auto high beams. Other differentiators in this luxury line include a power sliding rear window with a rear defogger and smoked amber LED roof marking lamps. Additionally, it consists of some of the rugged features of the AT4, such as the durable spray-on bedliner and X31 Off-Road package, with many more upgrades available.

Driver information is displayed on an 8” diagonal driver information center for a clearer view.
